We believe at Living Water that giving is an act of worship. Giving of our resources acknowledges God as the owner of all things (1 Chronicles 29:11), including the resources He has entrusted into our responsibility.

Yes, they will be included.

CAN I VIEW MY PAST GIVING HISTORY ONLINE?

Once your gift has been processed, you can view your giving history online immediately.

HOW CAN I GET A RECEIPT OF MY ONLINE GIFT?

You should receive an email confirmation after your transaction has been processed. In addition, you will receive a quarterly paper giving statement and cumulative giving statement at the end of the year.

HOW LATE IN THE YEAR CAN I MAKE A DONATION AND RECEIVE A CREDIT FOR THIS YEAR’S TAXES?

Per IRS regulations, contributions for any given year must be received or postmarked by December 31 of that year in order to receive donation credit for tax purposes.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
    • IT KEEPS FIRST THINGS FIRST

The Bible says giving is to be a “first” and not a last or leftover matter in our lives. Read Proverbs 3:9-10. It is easy to let our intentions be compromised by the pressure of expenses and billing cycles.

    • IT’S CONSISTENT

Have you ever forgotten your gift, left it at home, or pledged to double it in the future? Have you had times where you have fallen behind because you travel or other schedule interruptions? Online giving provides a way to stay up to date with your budget.

    • IT’S CONVENIENT

Through online giving, you expedite your gift, simplify our accounting, and strengthen our base of regular support.

GIVING RESOURCES

Biblical Giving

We believe at Living Water that giving is an act of worship. Giving of our resources acknowledges God as the owner of all things (1 Chronicles 29:11), including the resources He has entrusted into our responsibility. As such we do not take casually the matter of giving. In fact, in Matthew 6:21 Jesus teaches that “where your treasure is, there your heart will be also”. So giving is indeed more than just writing a check or using an online tool, rather it is a reflection of a greater understanding of who Jesus is in our lives.

Principle Description Address
  • Systematic
Give on a regular basis, for example, weekly,     bi-monthly, monthly, etc. 1 Cor 16:1, 2
  • Proportional
Give as you have been prospered; according to your ability 1 Cor 16:2; 2 Cor 8:2–3
  • Sacrificial-Generous
Give generously, even sacrificially, but not to the point of personal affliction 2 Cor 8:2–3; Phil 4:17–18
  • Intentional
Give deliberately in order to meet a genuine need, not out of guilt merely to soothe a pressing request 2 Cor 8:4; Phil 4:16
  • Motivation
Our motivation for giving should be love for others, a desire for reciprocity, and an eye to the reward from God
  • Love
As Jesus died for the sins of others, believers should give of themselves out of love 2 Cor 8:9
  • Equality
Believers are to give so that all needs are met 1 Cor 9:14–15; 2 Cor 8:12–14; cf.
Gal 6:6
  • Blessing
Give in order to receive more from God so that you can continue to bless others generously 2 Cor 9:6
  • Cheerful
God loves a cheerful giver 2 Cor 9:7
  • Voluntary
Giving ought to be done out of one’s free volition 2 Cor 8:2–3, 8; 9:7; Phil 4:18

Malachi 3:10,11 (ESV) Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not
open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is
no more need. I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the
fruits of your soil, and your vine in the field shall not fail to bear, says the Lord of hosts.

Luke 12:34 (ESV) Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Hebrews 11:6 (ESV) And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever
would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

Making a Difference

Living Water is all about reaching people for Jesus and bringing the whole gospel to the whole person.  It’s our passion to make a positive difference in the lives of people both locally and globally. Check out some of the ways we are doing this.

Lakefair:
At Lakefair, it’s all about caring for our community. Every year about 350 volunteers serve in several areas from putting on the parade to trash pickup and Kids Day. We continue to be known as the Green Team around the city.

Holiday Food Baskets:
Every year the church facilitates two incredible food basket give-a-ways in November and December. We are able to bless upwards of 1,600 families with approximately 16,000 meals. It is so incredible to see how extra blessed these families are especially in light of the difficult economy. In addition, we provide over 500 Christmas gifts each year to the children of these families.

Family Support Center:
This is a ministry located on the Boulevard Campus where people in need can come throughout the week to get food and other items for free. Every year we provide thousands of meals for those who are hungry.

Cambodia:
Living Water loves Cambodia and we presently work with Foursquare Children of Promise to invest in this nation. At this time we are fully supporting four orphan homes and churches. We provide for their food, education, clothing, home maintenance, transportation, medical, dental, English Instruction, blankets, mosquito nets, and a whole lot more.

Mega Sports Camp:
Every year over 500 children come to the church and are blessed by this week long event. Children get to grow in sports fundamentals along with hearing Gods word on a daily basis in a positive atmosphere.

Upward Basketball and Cheer:
Every Year 300+ kids from our community participate in a basketball league where basketball skills can be refined along with character and sportsmanship. Hundreds of families are impacted by the love of Jesus as they watch their child have a ton of fun with other basketball stars.

You’ve got options when you’re deciding how to give at Living Water.

credit cards and bank account payments) is the easiest method and provides
the most immediate benefit.

In addition, you can give to the church through these other methods:

Marketable Securities:
Transfer ownership of your stocks, bonds, or mutual fund shares.

Other Non-Cash Gifts:
Donate items like cars, boats, jewelry, homes, and land.

Life Insurance:
Name Living Water as a beneficiary of your policy.

Planned Gifts:
Give via retirement assets, bequests, trusts, etc. as a part of your
overall personal financial strategy.

One Gift – Twice the Impact
Did you know some employers will match your contributions?
Charitable Gift Matching doubles your giving impact! Corporations
like Morgan Stanley-Smith Barney and Bank of America are already
participating, and your employer might be able to also if you ask.
