Remember the old-time ‘Good Humor Man’ who drove his ice cream truck down the street chiming a jingle? On those hot Southern California days, all four of us kids would take off running in a fury to find Mom—jumping and screaming, “Mom, the Good Humor Man is coming!” This would put her into a frenzy as she would go into action to find 20 cents (yes, I’m dating myself here) for each of us to share a ‘Good Humor Moment’. Most times it meant that all four of us would scatter and dig under the couch cushions (you’d be surprised what people leave under there!) But somehow, we’d always dig up enough change for a Good Humor Bar.

Good Humor doesn’t drive down many streets anymore—you have to go out and get it yourself. That’s why our theme this year is: ‘Laughter: The Best Medicine’

Have you ever been with a girlfriend and laughed until tears ran down your face? We are busier than we’ve ever been and we need pit stops where we laugh those belly laughs. It’s so good to let go and bring a little relief into the clamor of life. It won’t change your circumstances, but when you can laugh at yourself, or the antics of others, it helps to lighten your load.
