Women's Ministries at Living Water offers many ways for women to connect with others.  Our goal is to provide events, ministry opportunities, and small group settings for all women.  Whether you are in your 20's or 90's, we hope that you find fellowship, growth in your relationship with God, and a place to share your life with other women.  Here are some of the ongoing ministries currently available for women to attend or partner with:

  • Descrption: Do we ever know how to have fun!  Our activities include shopping excursions to Seattle, gifts & crafts events, and dance lessons - just to name a few! If you enjoy planning, contact me so I can let you know how you can be a part of our team.
  • Name: COMPASSIONATE CARE     
  • Purpose: Care for those who have lost a spouse or child.

  • Who this ministry is for: Losing someone to death is a devastating experience, especially if you don't know where to turn for support. We would like to partner with you in prayer, be a listening ear, and help meet practical needs you may have.  Let us come alongside you, and help "bear one another's burdens."

  • Name:  WELCOMING TEAM
  • Purpose:  Greet women and help them to feel welcome at large events such as Girls' Night Out.

  • Description:  Our goal is to make every woman feel valued and connected at women's events and conferences.  If you would like a "friend" to sit with the first time you come to an event, call me!

  • Name:  CONFERENCE COORDINATOR
  • Purpose:  Facilitate the Girls' Getaway Women's Conference

  • Description:  We usually offer two conferences each year for women to attend:  The Girls' Getaway Conference in Ocean Shores and the Women of Faith Conference in Portland, OR (We do not put on the Women of Faith Conferences - we simply provide group seating tickets).  It takes many hands to work behind the scenes to put on our Girls' Getaway Conference.  We would love your help! 
  • Name:  GIRLS' NIGHT OUT COORDINATOR 
  • Purpose:  Facilitate our monthly Girls' Night Out events

  • Description:  Our Girls' Night Out events are lots of fun!  To put this large event on each month (September through April), we have a number of teams who work hard to create the beautiful setting (decorating team), feed our guests (buffet team), provide technical support (like sound and cameras), and more.  Contact me if you would like more information about joining one of our teams.

  • Name:  SPECIAL PROJECTS
  • Purpose:  To plan and facilitate special women's events such as the Mother's Day Dessert Tea

  • Description:  We love to dream!  We love to plan events that have a special touch!  If you are creative, we'd enjoy hearing your ideas!

  • Name:  CARE & PRAYER
  • Purpose:  To bring encouragement

  • Description:  Do you need someone who will listen, offer scriptural advice, and pray for you?  Although not professionally trained as therapists, we will meet with you up to three times, hoping these sessions will bring you encouragement.
  • Name:  SMALL GROUPS
  • Purpose:  Providing a variety of small group oppportunities for women

  • Description:  We were created for relationships!  We have a number of small group gatherings meeting in homes and on campus with a variety of topics from Bible studies to exercise to creating handcrafted items.  These groups are listed in our small group booklet, available at the Women's Table in the Commons.  If you would like more info about our groups or have an idea for a small group, contact me!
  • Name:  W.O.W. (WOMEN OF WISDOM)
  • Purpose:  "Mature" women getting together in a variety of settings.

  • Description:  Our W.O.W. group is very active!  One of the groups under our ministy, "Women On A Mission," gets together several Tuesdays of each month to work together on quality handmade items such as large quilts.  We sell these items and donate the proceeds to a local ministry.  On the third Tuesday of each month, we go to lunch at different local restaurants.   • Name:  WOMEN'S MINISTRIES "CONNECTOR"
  • Purpose:  To help women find a ministry to attend or in which to serve

  • Description:  If you are looking for a place to connect, Zina is there for you!  She will help you discover what is available through Women's Ministries and answer other questions about the church.
 
  • Name:  Prison Ministry 
  • Purpose:  To minister to the inmates at Purdy Women's Prison.

  • Description:  We minister at Purdy Women's Prison twice a month for the purpose of teaching, praying, and simply offering a listening ear and a caring heart.  If you would like to find out how you can qualify to join a team, call Georgie.
